Role of Quality in Economic Development
Quality plays a decisive role in the economic success of individual organizations and countries alike. The countries that hold the first positions in the world economy in terms of competitiveness such as the USA, Singapore, Finland, the Netherlands and Switzerland are also the countries where the degree of use of quality management techniques is the highest (The World Competitiveness Yearbook).

The growing liberalization of markets and their globalization are gradually imposing the same quality standards on developed and developing countries. The latter must pay more attention to the improvement of quality of their products and services, if they want to overcome their economic difficulties and the associated poverty and social problems.
